Non-Discrimination Policy

The University Baptist Children’s Center welcomes all children. Application for enrollment of children ranging in age from 12 months through five years will be considered without regard to race, color, religion, sex, creed, disability, national origin, or family structure.

UBCC does not practice or promote any specific religious beliefs. However, we respect the religious and cultural values of each child. We encourage each family to share their customs and beliefs to create a rich learning experience for everyone. We will celebrate holidays (age-appropriately), birthdays and special occasions, but will respect the wishes of the individual, providing alternative activities (if staffing permits) for children who choose not to participate.

At the core of our anti-bias approach is the belief that the primary way in which we support children is by understanding and respecting the backgrounds and value structures they come from, and that regarding differences with any sort of judgment is a form of discrimination. When professional values differ from home values, we are committed to approaching the situation from a position of understanding and compromise with the best interest of the child in mind.
